Stories from Bhutan

This video series shares stories of young people in Bhutan who have faced bullying and discrimination, opening conversation and action in support of those who face similar challenges. The videos are a creative research output of Re-storying Community, an international research project that works with communities through storying. The Bhutan stories were created through a collaboration between Bhutanese and Canadian researchers and community members.

Stoney Creek Soundwalk

Part of the Re-storying Community project, the Stoney Creek Soundwalk is a set of six sound compositions that weave field recordings, oral histories, and original music to tell the stories of a fish-bearing creek in Burnaby, BC. Built around ecological resilience, intergenerational knowledge, and listening, the compositions were presented along the creek for a public listening walk.

Supported by the Government of Canada’s New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF).

Community Resilience

This series of short videos brings together immigrant community members of different generations, from older adults to younger newcomers, who share how they navigate challenge and find strength. Across their stories, resilience emerges as a collective effort shaped through connection, creativity, and care.
